Subject: [ccardesa] Regional Center of Leadership in Mozambique for theentire SADC region
Dear all,
I’m pleased to share that a new Regional Center of Leadership is now under construction in Mozambique to assist the entire SADC region on rice and other commodities.
Namacurra district, Zambézia province in the center region of Mozambique, is never going to be same from now on. The Regional Center of Leadership (RCoL) is on the way at high speed. In a couple of months some walls are already shaping the agricultural research center that will assist besides Mozambique, the entire SADC region in mainly rice and commodities such as tuber and roots and others. The construction should go about 16 months, however if works keep the same pace the contractor is convinced that RCoL will be delivered in 12 to 14 months. A dream that will for sure become true is held due to the support from the Agricultural Productivity Program for Southern Africa (APPSA), a World Bank funded initiative coordinated that is also taking place in Malawi and Zambia. Tomorrow morning, December 10, His Excellence the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security of Mozambique, Mr. Higino de Marule will officially launch the constructions in Namacurra.
