Cishugi Murhula Justin

Mr Cishugi Murhula Justin has been working for the Ministry of Agriculture for 18years years at the Head of Division at the Plant Protection Office. He also participated in the implementation of regulatory texts and the Nation Strategy for the Strengthening of Phytosanitary Capacity in the Democratic Republic in Congo. He has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Agronomist Engineering and Agricultural Economics and a master’s in economics and Development. His research focused on the economic impacts of diseases and pests and vegetable crops grown in urban and peri-urban areas. He is also interested in food security issues and is currently working on defining the mechanisms that can facilitate the collection of real-time data on agricultural activities in the Democratic Republic of Congo with the main objective of establishment of a National Early Warning System and Monitoring of Agricultural Campaigns in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
