The above subject matter refers.
Amagugu International Heritage Centre (AIHC) in partnership with the African Food Revolution will host the third edition of the Indigenous Food and Beverages Expo from the
9th to the 11th of April 2020 at AIHC in Matopos, Zimbabwe. The Expo is an annual showcase to promote drought resilient and nutritious traditional foods.
A new addition to the Expo is a conference which seeks to provide a platform for scholarly discussions on traditional foods and beverages. The theme for the conference is “OUR FOOD, OUR HERITAGE, OUR FUTURE”. The conference will be held on the 9th and 10th of April 2020 at AIHC, with a Cook-off competition on the 11th.
In line with the theme, the three days conference will explore indigenous African food history, food poetry, new plating techniques for African foods, the role of culture in marketing indigenous African foods, village entrepreneurship, novel foods, traditional foods, food safety in villages, recipe documentation & formulations, packaging technologies and the future African food industry & restaurant.
Abstracts for the conference are currently being accepted until the 31st of December 2020.
