I wonder whether you can forward this to the CCARDESA groups.
Two upcoming events to be held in Gauteng, South Africa.
DSSAT crop modelling Training from 30 Sept till 3 Oct and South African
Society for Atmospheric Sciences (SASAS) conference along the Vaal River
from evening of 7th Oct with presentations on 8th & 9th Oct.

The closing date for the EXTENDED Abstracts has been extended.
Please forward to your colleagues and encourage everyone who is
interested in Crop Modelling to register for this training - as it is
half-price of the normal cost in US. We are so privileged to have the
world renown Prof Gerrit Hoogenboom from Univ. of Florida, Institute for
Sustainable Food Systems coming to RSA to give this training.
We really need to be able to show him that we are making a concerted
effort to improve our modelling skills in Southern Africa, by training
up a new cohort of 'crop modellers'.
Please reply by completing the registration form.
Unfortunately, I do NOT have any scholarships available for funding of
registration NOR travel NOR accommodation costs.
Please source your own funds to attend these two events.
