Professor Cliff Sibusiso Dlamini (Ph.D.)

Employment resume: Professor Dlamini is the Executive Director (and current Interim Programmes and Resource Mobilization Manager) of the Centre for Coordination of Agriculture Research and Development for Southern Africa (CCARDESA). Previously, he was the Chief Executive Officer of the Eswatini National Trust Commission. In the past, he worked as a Research Fellow with IAPRI in Zambia, Livelihoods and Food Security Technical Advisor with World Vision International. He also worked as Manager of The Table Mountain Fund at WWF South Africa in Cape Town, Research Fellow with the University of Eswatini, Parks Manager with the Mbabane City Council (Eswatini), Senior Lecturer at Fortcox College of Agriculture and Forestry (South Africa) and Assistant Forestry Officer with the Ministry of Agriculture in Eswatini amongst others. Programme Management Experience (1993-Date): Strategic Planning, Strategic Plan Formulation, Implementation and Monitoring and Evaluation (over 28 years); Financial Planning (Determination of Funding Requirements and Identification of Funding Sources)-over 26 years; Financial Management and Budget Controls (over 25 years); Programmes and Projects Management (over 25 years); Resource Mobilization(over 23 years); Development and Implementation of Sustainable Financing Models (over 12 years); Team Building, Team Leadership and Performance Management (over 28 years); Human Resources Management and Development (over 25 years); Multi-Stakeholder Management (over 28 years); Partnerships Building (over 26 years); and Collaboration and Networking with Strategic Alliances (over 25 years). Academic profile: Professor Dlamini holds a Dip. Forest Science, Ph.D. Forestry (University of Stellenbosch), Master’s in Development Finance (University of Stellenbosch Business School), MPhil Environmental Law (University of Cape Town), Post Graduate Certificate in Sustainable Development (SOAS University of London, UK), Executive MBA (Quantic School of Business and Technology in the USA), the prestigious M.Sc. in Sustainable Development (University of Sussex, UK) and the MPhil in Applied Business Leadership and Management (with the Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia (UCAM) passed with Distinction, March 2023). To enhance his knowledge and skills in leading Sub-Regional and International Organizations Professor Dlamini is pursuing his Doctorate in Management with UCAM, Spain. Further, he was appointed Associate Professor Extraordinary at the University of Stellenbosch Business School (USB) in November 2022. Most importantly, he has authored over 55peer-reviewed publications, 8 Book Chapters, 5 Books, 4 Training Manuals and made over 30 Workshop/Conference presentations (in the subjects of sustainable development, sustainable agriculture, forest science, forestry, natural resources management and climate change, development finance, and environmental law).
